Karma

Karma ~ what is it and are you living into it ?

You hear all the time people talking about it’s good karma or bad karma. Basically I believe it revolves around the bible’s lessons in treat others as you would have them treat you, although I do also believe that there’s some more to it than just that basic principle.

I do believe that we all pre destine our lives in terms of the choices we make for the experiences we seek in order to learn the lessons we’ve choosen to learn as part of our journey on this path to self discovery and connection to our higher selves.

It can be a little overwhelming when we come to grips with the fact that all the actions and reactions of our life we are responsible for 100 percent. A good majority of society seems to buy into the victum mentality or feeling hard done by based on the difficulities in their life.

However we’ve choose those experiences for ourself so that we can in turn fullfil a much greater purpose and reason for being.

The trick is for us to figure out what that is and for the most part I believe it’s living into who we’re meant to be by surrendering our judgment of ourselves and other people.

Karma is the law of moral causation. The theory of Karma is a fundamental doctrine in Buddhism. This belief was prevalent in India before the advent of the Buddha. Nevertheless, it was the Buddha who explained and formulated this doctrine in the complete form in which we have it today

Nothing happens to a person that he does not for some reason or other deserve

Before we are born in this world we decide, while still in the realms of Spirit and along with our higher guides, the lessons we shall pursue here. Spirit helps us pursue these lessons by creating the conditions necessary for us to receive our chosen experience.

Karma is not about punishment. In Spirit there is no absolute right or wrong. It is about experience and fulfillment of purpose.
There are a number of steps and lessons that we can begin to learn and to understand if we truly want to have a higher life experience in terms of connecting to our sacred self so that we may in fact be free. No longer connected and bonded by our guilt, our shame, our anger, frustration, emptiness, or sadness that dwells very deeply in many of us. Encouraged by ego based thinking our higher self is continually being encouraged to live small and hidden deep behind our Ego’s walls, being stifled.

Along the many steps of understanding ourselves, our purpose, our reason for being and how the gift of being in the moment of awareness of who we are and how we are to play out our experience in this physical lifetime comes a gentle encouragement of a much greater level of inner peace and happiness when we get connected to those lessons that are so readily available to us just by letting go.

Karma influences our current life in two ways. First, we carry karma as part of our life conditions, though not all of our conditions are karmic in origin. Karma is the part of our conditions that represents unfinished business and other residues from the past. Second, we create future karma continually with every thought and action.

As an individuated part of Spirit there will be particular areas of growth necessary for our personal evolution. There are also areas in which we may best contribute to the growth of Spirit in its totality. Sometimes karma thrusts us into diametrically opposite conditions than we previously experienced.

The first step in dealing with existing karma is awareness and acknowledgement of it. Are there any themes that seem to recur throughout your life? Nothing happens by chance. Recurrent themes suggest the hand of karma. These recurrent themes are telling you they are providing conditions for some necessary life experience.

This experience may be obvious to you, but where it is not you may need to ask Spirit for guidance through prayer, meditation, or through your dreams.

Once you understand the karmic themes of your incarnation you can start working with them, ie swim with the tide rather than against it. If you find it hard to acquire or hold money, you need to practice good money management. If you find it hard to make friends you need to be that bit nicer to others… If you’re not sure how to work with your karma, ask for guidance and be open to the answers.

The second aspect of karma is that it is being created all the time. Every act of will, every thought, is a karmic act. By acting in accordance with our Spiritual purpose in particular and Spiritual principles in general (“thy will be done”) we create good karma for tomorrow. But good karma doesn’t mean material success, it is concerned with Spiritual progress and making one’s soul available to more advanced lessons rather than continually repeating grade 1.

Messengers of Change – Movement of Change

Messengers of Change – Movement of Change

Movement of change what an interesting use of language and words

It could mean so many things and at the same time very succinctly sum up a phrase by which to live life.

What areas of your life would you be willing to make movements towards change ?

What legacy would you like to leave behind as your imprint of your physical time here ?

I was thinking this morning as I was meditating how amazing it is that we have life.

Not just life itself the fact that we’ve been born into this life. Life and breathe and the opportunties that come with that.

Being adopted I’ve never until recent years had a quest to query my natural parents.

I was so blessed with an amazing life of opportunity, health, love, education, nourishment, kindness, travel, and friends even though it’s been mixed with a lot of heartache and sadness as most people’s lifes at one time or another are.

This morning while meditating I was connected with the spirit and love that my natural mother carried with her as she made a difficult decision and transition from my birth to living her life forward.  I came away with a deep sense of gratitude and awe of the physical aspect of the life I’ve been granted.

Why me ? Why was I blessed so much to have a woman of such courage and determination to make my life better than she could have offered me on her own.

At age 16 when she gave not only birth to me at the same time countless opportunity and experiences that would shape and guide my life. How worthy do I feel of such a deep love and yet she may not have even realized at such a tender age the compassion she offered me in those months and those moments of transition.

I believe I’m beginning to understand on much deeper levels of acceptance and purpose that I was choosen for such unconditional levels of love.

We all have the opportunity to be agents for change in our life – what legacy would you like to leave as your way to impact the world by the  lessons you’ve inspired in others. Sharing your gifts so that others may grow in love. How beautiful is that!

What Won’t Destroy You, Makes You Stronger!

What Won’t Destroy You, Makes You Stronger!
Ever heard the quote: “What won’t destroy you will make you stronger” by Friedrich Neitzche? Well, sometimes I feel like I’m living proof.
I haven’t shared my story with many people, however for you to truly understand how powerful the wisdom and inspiration of others can be, I think it’s important that you hear it now.

You see, until 2 years ago my life was in turmoil. My second marriage had failed and was going through a very bitter divorce. Life was a war zone; full of squabbling, degrading comments and even sabotage.

And, as you can imagine, it wasn’t long before the daily reminder of how useless, stupid and selfish I was, ripped apart my confidence and made me second guess every decision I had to make.

Now don’t get me wrong, I realize that turmoil during a divorce, even the nastiest kind isn’t unusual, but that’s not the worst part!

The worst part was when I reread my journal and realized that I had spent 3 years of marriage with the very same complaints. You see, I was also married at 23 to a man 13 years my senior.
And, although we had made three beautiful children together, I was never really happy or lived life to its fullest.

Back then I had always attributed up my failure to immaturity and inexperience, but now almost 11 years later I was duplicating my life’s failure. And I finally had to face the facts that I was the ONLY person I could blame; which was a hard pill to swallow that’s for sure.

But, luckily for me, life seems to attract what we need the most, and I discovered some extremely powerful and influential self help books that helped me to balance my physical, mental, and spiritual life and successfully shift from a “work-style” into a “lifestyle”.

So I’m going to tell you about four fabulous people that can help you get your life UNSTUCK!

They are very good at helping people clarify where they are and where they’d like to be. They have all helped me move my life forward, and I’m sure they will do the same for you too.
